By accessing this website or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Description of Services

We provide professional psychometric assessment services including:

  • Recruitment assessments
  • Development assessments
  • Career guidance
  • Coaching feedback sessions
  • Reporting services

All assessments are conducted under supervised conditions and are not unsupervised public self tests.

Services are advisory in nature and do not guarantee employment, promotion, or performance outcomes.

3. Professional Disclaimer

Psychometric results:

  • Are indicators, not absolute conclusions
  • Must be interpreted by qualified professionals
  • Should form only part of decision-making

We are not liable for decisions made solely based on assessment results.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Not impersonate another person
  • Not misuse assessments
  • Not copy or distribute reports without permission

5. Employer Responsibilities

Employers using our services agree that:

  • Assessments will be used ethically and fairly
  • Results will not be discriminatory
  • POPIA confidentiality obligations will be followed
  • Feedback will be handled sensitively

6. Payments & Bookings

  • Bookings confirmed only after payment/PO received
  • Late arrival may reduce session time

7. Cancellation Policy

If data is stored on international servers (e.g., cloud hosting), we ensure the provider complies with adequate data protection standards equivalent to POPIA.

  • 48+ hours: No charge
  • 24–48 hours: 50% fee
  • Less than 24 hours or no show: 100% fee

8. Intellectual Property

All reports, tools, materials and website content remain the intellectual property of Synaptik.

No reproduction, distribution or commercial use is allowed without written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synaptik is not liable for:

  • Employment decisions
  • Business decisions made by clients
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Technical website interruptions

10. Confidentiality

All assessment information is confidential and will only be released:

  • With consent
  • To the contracting client
  • If legally required

11. Indemnity

You indemnify Synaptik against claims arising from misuse of reports or decisions made using the assessment results.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of South African courts.
